Qu'il s'agisse de b\u00e2timents commerciaux ou r\u00e9sidentiels, la structure standard comprend souvent une ossature l\u00e9g\u00e8re en bois recouverte d'une fa\u00e7ade en briques ou en parpaings qui lui donne l'apparence du b\u00e9ton lourd, de la ma\u00e7onnerie ou de l'acier. Les maisons individuelles et collectives, les restaurants, les centres commerciaux et bien d'autres b\u00e2timents sont construits \u00e0 peu de frais et rapidement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette m\u00e9thode, qui n'est donc pas pr\u00e8s de dispara\u00eetre. Mais il existe de nombreuses sources de chaleur, de flammes et d'\u00e9tincelles, telles que le brasage, le d\u00e9coupage, le meulage, la soudure, la d\u00e9cong\u00e9lation et le soudage sur un chantier de construction. Si l'on ajoute \u00e0 cela les multiples sources de combustible, comme les d\u00e9bris et les liquides inflammables en grande quantit\u00e9, un chantier de construction offre de nombreuses possibilit\u00e9s de d\u00e9clencher un incendie de grande ampleur si l'on ne respecte pas des directives importantes. Les traitements ignifuges (TIF) limitent la propagation des flammes \u00e0 la surface du bois, mais ils sont incapables de limiter la vitesse \u00e0 laquelle le bois se d\u00e9compose lorsqu'il est expos\u00e9 au feu et \u00e0 la chaleur. Les traitements ignifuges n'augmentent pas le degr\u00e9 de r\u00e9sistance au feu du mat\u00e9riau. En d'autres termes, le bois trait\u00e9 ne r\u00e9pond pas \u00e0 la norme relative aux mat\u00e9riaux incombustibles, mais sa faible propagation des flammes est la faille qui lui permet de continuer \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 l\u00e0 o\u00f9 des mat\u00e9riaux incombustibles seraient autrement requis.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column pos-top pos-center align_left column_child col-lg-6 single-internal-gutter\"><div class=\"uncol style-light\" ><div class=\"uncoltable\"><div class=\"uncell no-block-padding\" ><div class=\"uncont\" ><div class=\"uncode_text_column\" ><p>S'il est difficile de d\u00e9clencher un incendie, une fois qu'il s'est d\u00e9clar\u00e9, le temps est votre pire ennemi.
